Ministries
Our purpose is to include all older adults, both in the surrounding community and in the church, and to be engaged in ministry and outreach. Whether it’s through Bible study, social activities, or meeting the needs of others, we want to exhibit the love of Jesus in all we do. Most of all, we desire to be conduits in passing on a vibrant faith to the generations following us. The psalmist reminds us, “Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, til I declare your power to the next generation." (Psalm 71:18)
Things we do for fun and fellowship include:
• Sunshiners Luncheon is postponed until further notice.
• Young at Heart the 1st Tuesday of the month at 6:00 pm, which is a covered dish potluck along with games.
• From time to time, we take a trip or tour somewhere.
There are opportunities for service, too. Mission trips, service projects through our “Helping Hands” ministry, calling on the sick and those confined at home. Whatever your passions and gifts, we’ve got a place for you to serve.
On Sundays, you can choose from three different Bible classes that meet at 9:00 am. We also have groups that meet weekly, every two weeks or monthly.
