Mesa has joined us at Central as our Student Minister. He grew up in Canyon attending University Church of Christ. After graduating from CHS in 2013, Mesa attended Harding University and was part of the Cross Country and Track and Field teams. Mesa and his wife, Z’Ann, were married in the summer of 2017, and he returned to Harding that fall to graduate with a degree in kinesiology and a minor in Bible and ministry. They moved to Longview, TX in the spring of 2018 where Mesa became the head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Coach at LeTourneau University. In the fall of 2020, Z’Ann accepted a position at Bushland Middle School and Mesa soon followed, working as a substitute teacher in Canyon and Bushland ISD. Mesa and Z'Ann are a Lord and Lady of Scotland. Mesa enjoys playing sports but doesn't watch professionals, and he is a connoisseur of the video game entertainment industry.
