Who We Are

The Central Church of Christ joins God’s greater story of the Kingdom that brings about redemption and renewal—guided by the Father, expressed in Jesus Christ, and empowered through the Holy Spirit. Join Central’s vision as we Live. Jesus. Together.
While a church website cannot hold all that is important to say about God and our place in his world, here are a few things we believe and that are important to our faith.

We believe in one and all-powerful God, who we identify as a loving God that is actively working in his own creation to redeem and restore us. We believe in God's only Son Jesus Christ, both fully human and divine. He not only delivers us from death to life and eternal salvation with God in heaven but also invites us to join his work of bringing good news and inviting others to follow the way of Jesus. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the gift that Christ promised us. Through the indwelling of the Spirit, the Spirit empowers, intercedes, and unites us to help us conform more to the image of Jesus. We believe the Bible is divinely inspired and perfect because it gives us access to come to know God and become transformed into likeness of Christ. We believe in both the universal church and the local church. We believe salvation is a gift from God, and when we respond to God, we not only receive salvation but join in God's work of salvation for the world. One of the things deeply appreciate about our restoration heritage is the priority of unity. Even though individually we have strong convictions, we are a diverse church with a wide variety of beliefs and yet come together in worship.
