Local Mission & Outreach

Living the way of Jesus applies to those closest to us--to our neighbors, community, and city. We partner with a handful of local organizations as well as share resources through our own outreach to bless and serve our neighbors.

Bivins Elementary

Central continues its partnership with Bivins Elementary School here in our neighborhood. Funding helps meet teacher needs throughout the year, provides Snack Paks for dozens of kids each week, and offers family support through a social worker.

This ministry takes place each Sunday morning at the Guest Central desk here in our building at Central. Those who need financial assistance with emergency gasoline, and birth certificates come here to meet with volunteers who visit with, pray with, and assist each individual.

Loaves & Fishes has existed at Central since 2003. This ministry takes place the first three Thursday mornings of the month at the church building. Participants enjoy a short time of worship followed by a food distribution. Prayer time and relationship building with the participants is an important part of this ministry.
