MISSIONS IMPACT!
Every October we turn our focus to local and global missions. We will celebrate these partnerships and invite you to celebrate with us!
If you choose to participate in Missions Impact by giving, you can start that today on the app to either give now or make a pledge. When you give online, be sure to select “Missions Impact 2027” as the Fund.
THE MISSION OF GOD FOR YOU AND THE WORLD
On Sunday, October 18, we will host a panel conversation to hear how God is working through missions as well as to discover how we can translate this mindset to our own home and neighborhood. We’re grateful to draw on the decades of experience that Great Cities Missions brings for this discussion. Join us in the Chapel at 9:00am.
DONUTS! DONUTS! DONUTS!
The Children’s Ministry have will donuts on Sunday, October 18! Get your favorite donut from anyone in the Children’s Ministry and make a donation to Missions Impact!
WORDS TO LIVE BY
Wednesday, Oct. 14, 6:30pm coffee, 7:00pm class in the Commons
Our speaker this week is Mark Zimmerman, Executive Director of Transformation Park. His focus will be on Matthew 5:1-16.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT CHRISTIANITY & CULTURE
How does our faith speak to our lives today? What does God have to say about how we use AI, the levels of anxiety that we live with, and more? We’ll dive into topics like these for 4weeks this fall (Oct. 14, 21, Nov 4, 11). Expect thoughtful discussion balanced with practical ways to experience God day-to-day. Join us for coffee in the Commons at 6:30pm, followed by class at 7:00pm (location to be determined).
TRUNK OR TREAT
Mark you calendar for Wednesday, October 28, 6:30-8:00pm for Trunk or Treat!
This year, we are adding new elements to make this an event for all ages! We will have a variety of trunks for kids to trick-or-treat (no scary costumes, please!), games forall ages, hot dogs & popcorn, cornhole, 9 Square, a DJ, and the first annual Central Chili Cook-Off!
There are lots of way to volunteer! Check them out and sign up on the app!
WELCOME TO THE CENTRAL COMMUNITY!
Shawn Daniell is a manager at Drunken Oyster and Sami is the accounts payable manager at Regency Mill Services. They’ve been married for 3 years and love catching a movie or heading out to local events when they have some downtime. They love Central’s family atmosphere.
Christy DeLuna, her husband Pete, and their son Trevor recently moved to Amarillo from Stinnett and are loving their new home. She is the mother of Natallie Dallas and loves spoiling her granddaughters. Trevor is quite the singing and music-loving enthusiast – and he also loves being the center of attention. They love Central's warmth and kindness since they first visited.
Travis Kotara works for Riskonnect as a Solutions Consultant, and Bretta balances being a real estate agent and homeschool mom to Shepherd (3rd grade) and Scout (1st grade). They enjoy camping, being in nature, and game nights as a family and are excited about building a deeper community life at Central.
